Player’s equipment can be separated into three general categories: Weapons, Armor and Accessories. There are also pet equipment, miscellaneous and consumables. There is no level restriction for wearing equipment except of Accessories. Necklace can be equipped after a class transfer, second Ring at level 40 and Earring at level 60. Each equipment type can be equipped by any class, but certain skills require specific weapons or active special mastery bonuses, only if you wear specific armor or weapon type (e.g. Mystic=Robe, Warrior= Heavy Armor, Rogue=Light Armor)

Equipment Grades

There are six grades for equipment in Lineage 2: Revolution. They are distinguished by letters C, B, A, S, R and SR. The grade of equipment can also be identified by the color. Higher grades provide higher base stats, improve appearance and unlock additional improvements according to the table below. Also, set effects apply only if you wear 2 or more pieces of sets equipment of the same grade.

Grade Soul crystal unlocked Random stats unlocked Atribute unlocked Sell value
C-Grade 50
B-Grade 100
A-Grade 1 750
S-Grade 1 1 2,500
R-Grade 2 1 12,500
SR-Grade 3 1 25,000

Level Up

Each equipment grade can be levelled from Lv.1 (basic value) to Lv.30 (max value). Levelling equipment is available through forge and you will need other equipment or varnish as material and Adena. In general, equipment levelling is possible only with the same equipment type meaning that weapons can be levelled only with weapons or with weapon type varnish. Each new equipment level provides better equipment basic value (for weapon is P.Attack/M.Attack). Once equipment reaches Lv.30 it can’t be more levelled until its gets upgraded to a higher grade or until limit is broken in case of SR-Grade. It is possible to level up SR-Grade equipment with C-Grade equipment, it is also possible to level up C-Grade equipment with SR-Grade equipment but it will have an impact on Adena consumption and on level up progression. See an example of armor levelling below.

If using 1x A armor as levelling material, levelling price will be 5,900 . Levelling progress is equal to 3x B armor used, but the price is 6000 (1x B costs 2,000 , so 3x is equal to 6,000 ). Therefore, using 1x A is cheaper by 100 .

If using 1x B armor as levelling material, levelling price will be 2,000 . Levelling progress is equal to 3x C armor used, but the price is 2,100 (1x C costs 700 , so 3x is equal to s 2,100 ). Therefore, using 1x B is cheaper by 100 .

If it used 1x A armor as levelling material levelling price will be 5,900 . Levelling progress is equal to 9x C armor used, but the price is 6,300 (1x C costs 700 , so 3x is equal to 6,300 ). Therefore, using 1x A is cheaper by 400 .

Same mechanics is applied to all grades: 1x SR → 3x R → 9x S → 27x A → 81x B → 243x C

Upgrade

Once equipment is levelled to Lv.30, it can be upgraded to a higher grade. Upgrade needs Lv.30 equipment, upgrade stone of desired type (Weapons, Armor, Accessory) and amount of Adena depending on which grade you are upgrading from. Result will be the same equipment a with higher grade. I.e. if you upgrade C-Grade Sword of Revolution the result will be B-Grade Sword of Revolution. There is a 100% probability of success. SR-Grade can’t be upgraded, but can be improved through limit breaking.

Combine

Combining equipment is only available if you have two pieces of equipment of the same type (e.g Weapons), same grade and maxed level of each to 30. Result of combining is random. Therefore if you combine Demon’s Staff with Doom Dagger, the result can be Staff of Life (or any other weapon). You can’t combine a weapon with an armor or an accessory and if you combine two weapons, result can be nothing else than weapon. While combining, equipment on the left (initial selection) will keep all its properties, soul crystals and enhancements, while equipment on the right (second selection) will disappear. Combining equipment is also the best way to obtain rare equipment, because it can only be obtained through combining, draws or special events.

Enchanting

Enchanting equipment is a love-hate feature known from Lineage series. In Lineage 2 Revolution there are slightly different mechanics applied according to less “rage quit” game character.

Still it’s the best source of improving your equipment. For enchanting you need equipment of any grade or level, Enchanting Scrolls, large amount of Adena and Marph protection stones, if you want safe enchanting. Equipment can be enchanted from +1 to +30. Higher enchant provides better power but it will consume more Scrolls and Adena to enchant, also success rate of enchant decreases with higher enchant number. If you enchant successfully your enhancement increases by 1 for Standard Scroll used and from 1 to 3 for Blessed Scroll used. If your enchantment fails, current enhancement number decreases by 1. If you use Marph protection stones during enchanting, you don’t loose enchantment level in case of fail, however all materials and Adena will be consumed in both cases. More details can be found in the table below

Attribute Enchantment

Once equipment reaches A-Grade or higher, attribute effect is automatically applied. Attributes can be improved with attribute stones or items with the same attribute effect. Success rate depends on material grade: S = 10%, R = 30% and SR = 100% if you use equipment as material and S = 8%, R = 25% and SR = 100% if you use stones as material. List of attributes and its effects can be found in the table below.

Limit Breaking

Limit Breaking is available only for SR-Grade equipments. Once SR-Grade equipment reaches Lv.30 the limit can be broken and their level can go up to Lv.40. Material for Limit Breaking (i.e levelling from Lv.30 to Lv.40) can only be the same equipment with the same grade. Therefore Lv.30 SR – Dunamiss sword can be limit broken only with SR – Dunamiss sword. Level of equipment which is used as material is not important, you must fit only requirement of same grade and same item. Every attempt of Limit Breaking has only 50% chance of success. Every failed Limit breaking adds additional 25% chance for next try.

Substat Changing

Equipment from A-Grade has randomized substats according to equipment type. Each equipment has up to 3 random substats at SR-Grade. Different classes and different play-styles match different optional substats. Sometimes you obtain completely useless substats for your class from random picks. In this case you can use Substats Changing, which randomly changes all available substats on your item. Substats Changing requires Red Diamonds according to the table below. List of available substats for specific item can be found in our database.

Soul Crystals

Soul Crystals are socketable gemstones that improves equipment. There are 9 types of Soul Crystals with different colors. Each color provides different primary stat and can be inserted into a different equipment type. Soul Crystal can’t be inserted into a socket with different color. Player’s equipment has up to 6 socketable slots at SR-Grade which unlocks one by one per grade. More information can be found in the table below.

Primary and secondary stats:
Each Soul Crystal has two stats that provide permanent bonuses to your character if its inserted into an equipped item. Primary stat is determined by color of the Soul Crystal. Secondary stat provides a less powerful bonus and is randomised from the list of predefined bonuses. Possibilities of secondary stat are limited by Soul Crystal color (i.e Soul Crystal of Defense will not have P.Attack or M.Attack as secondary stat). Primary and secondary stats grow as Soul Crystal level or grade increase.

Soul Crystal levelling and upgrading:
Like any other equipment in Lineage 2 Revolution, Soul Crystals can be improved through increasing its level. Levelling Soul Crystal up requires Adena and another Soul Crystal which will be used as levelling material. Soul Crystal can be levelled from Lv.1 to max Lv.5. Once Soul Crystal reaches its maximum level it can be upgraded to a higher grade. To upgrade Soul Crystal you need only Adena. There is no difference whether you are levelling or upgrading fresh or socketed Soul Crystal.

Soul Crystal Grade C B A S R SR
Adena cost to Upgrade 8,000 25,000 50,000 100,000 200,000
Adena cost to Max Lv.5 3,000 8,500 28,000 75,000 208,000 457,000

Removing Soul Crystals:
Once a Soul Crystal is socketed into a slot, it is bound to that piece of equipment. If you use equipment with Soul Crystals as material for levelling up another piece of equipment, its Soul Crystals will be consumed as well. Socketed item also can’t be traded in trading post even if both are tradable. If you want to save your Soul Crystals or want to shift them to another piece of equipment, you must remove Soul Crystal first. Removing Soul Crystal costs large amount of Adena, which increases the Soul Crystal grade. You can also sell a Soul Crystal directly from the socket in order to change the Crystal, however the Crystal will be gone.
