The Clan system is core mechanic used to join players together. Members of a clan have access to shared clan activities and to rewards such as weekly Clan Achievements, Clan dungeons, Buffs and PvP events. Detailed description of clan function and mechanics can be found below.

Basic mechanics

Once your character reaches level 10, you will be able to create or join a clan. You need 50,000 Adena for clan creation which will automatically be consumed after clan creation. There will be restrictions if you want to create your own clan:

  • Clan name must have length between 2 and 12 characters
  • Clan name can’t be taken by other players on your server
  • Clan name can’t contain special characters, such as spaces
  • Choose clan name wisely, because once clan is created you can’t change the name anymore

After clan creation you will be prompted to choose clan crest. Clan crest can be later changed, but it will cost Red Diamonds, those would need to be paid by the clan leader.

As a clan leader you can set your clan to be private or public. Public means that anyone who meets level requirements can join your clan without any notification or approval. Private means that only players with invitation can join your clan.

Another recruitment restriction is level restriction. As clan leader you can set minimum character level that would be able to join your clan. Default is set to level 10.
Clan leader cannot leave the clan and delete the character until there is leader. Clan leader can appoint another member of clan to be the new leader. Clan leader can disband clan if he is the last member of the clan. Once clan is disbanded it cannot be formed again and clan name cannot be reused.

Clan member can leave or re-join another clan, but this will incur getting a penalty. While penalty is active, player cannot create or join another clan according to the table below.

Leaving frequency in 30 days Re-join penalty Function penalty
Once Cannot join for 1 day Restricted access to: Donation, Check In, Castle Siege, Fortress Siege, Clan Dungeon, Clan Shop, and Gift Shop
Two times Cannot join for 2 days
Three times Cannot join for 4 days
Four times Cannot join for 8 days

Re-join penalties count resets after 30 days without clan re-joins.
Function penalty resets until the next day.

Clan Members

Clan members can interact with Greetings and Check-ins. Every clan member can greet another member as well as acknowledge greetings from others. Each greeting is rewarded by 1 Clan Coin and acknowledged by 500 Adena. You can only greet 10 members per day, but acknowledging has no restrictions.

Every member can Check-in in your clan through Check-in Options. More checked clan members = better reward. Check–ins reset every day and you can obtain reward according to the table below.

Number of clan members check-ins Reward
1 or more clan members check-in 1 + 1,000
10 or more clan members check-in 3 + 3,000
25 or more clan members check-in 7 + 5,000
35 or more clan members check-in 10 + 10,000
50 or more clan members check-in 15 + 30,000

Clan members are divided into hierarchy. Each member has a rank assigned reflecting his clan status. Each rank has different privileges in clan management. Only clan leader can change clan member’s ranks. Ranks and their functions are listed in the table below.

Clan Member Rank Rank privileges
Squire Using of Clan Shop
Knight Lower rank rights + manage join requests
Captain Lower rank rights + manage clan skill upgrades
Elder Lower rank rights + manage aliances, hostility and Siege biddings
Leader The entire clan management

Clan levels

Clans in Lineage 2 Revolution can be strengthened to higher levels by a clan member who donates Adena, Proof of Blood or Red Starstone. Another way to obtain more experience for your clan is completing Weekly clan dungeons. As clan reaches higher level, more items will be available in clan shop, more clan skills will be available to buff, more slots for new members and more slots in clan storage will be available. Entrance to Clan dungeon bosses is restricted by clan level as well. Maximum clan level is 30. Clan can have maximum of 50 members and 90 clan storage capacity in this level.

Clan donations

Clan donations is the most effective way to increase clan levels. Each member can donate Adena, Proof of Blood or Red Starstones to the clan. After the donation member who donated is rewarded with proportionate amount of Clan Coins (which is used to Clan Shop purchases) and Contribution points which will show your activity in clan to other clan members. Also your clan reputation points increase by proportionate amount. Every donation you donate to your clan will automatically appear in clan storage and officially disappears from your inventory. These donations can be spent from clan storage on overall improvements, to unlock stronger bonuses or to reset Clan Dungeons.

Curency type Minimum donation Maximum donation Donation reward Maximum donation reward
Adena 2,500 75,000 1 + 5 contribution points 30 + 150 contribution points
Proof of Blood 40 1,200 2 + 10 contribution points 60 + 300 contribution points
Red Starstone 20 600 2 + 10 contribution points 60 + 300 contribution points

Clan Shop

Clan Shop is available only for clan members. Clan Shop provides various ways to boost your or other clan members characters with items or temporary buffs. Some items in Clan Shop require a certain clan level before they are available for purchase. Clan Shop is divided into 4 main categories:

Gift Shop Clan members can spend Blue Diamonds to send selected items as gifts to other clan members
Clan Buffs Clan members can activate clan buffs on themself using Clan Coins

Clan achievements

Clan achievement works in a similar way as personal achievements but provides more tasks that require clan members to work together in order to fulfil them. Clan achievements consists of 3 random tasks. Once a task is fulfilled it will be promoted to a higher tier. There are total of 9 tiers to complete for each achievement. Achievements are restarted at the beginning of a new week, which provides a new random task. Tasks are generated according to a clan level.

Completing Clan achievements provides Clan and individual rewards. Clan rewards are automatically distributed into clan storage after their successful completion. They can be later distributed to clan members by a clan leader (only clan leader can withdraw items from the storage). Individual rewards must be claimed by each member manually. If a clan member doesn’t claim the reward before reaching reset time, the reward will be lost. Individual rewards provide Adena and Prof of Blood according to the table below.

Achievment Tier Individual Reward Clan Reward
1 1,000 + 15  3x
2 2,000 + 25  2x

6 8,000 + 85  3x
7 10,000 + 110 10x

Clan Dungeon

Clan Dungeon is a PvE raid which is only available for clan members. Dungeon Boss is quite difficult and requires a large and strong group for successful clearance. Each Clan Dungeon can be cleared only once per week for free and one additional entry can be purchased each day for Red Dragons. If Dungeon Boss defeats all participants in the middle of the room, dungeon progress resets and you must start the fight from the beginning. As Raid HP is failing, Boss becomes stronger, casts skills more often and summons more Minions. Once Dungeon Boss is defeated, clan members are rewarded and automatically teleported outside of the Dungeon.

Clan member can enter the Dungeon at any time alone or with a party. Clan leader can also ask members of other clans to help with a raid and these members can enter once. If Dungeon is cleared and you re-enter to it, you will only find empty room without the Boss or Minions until you restart it. Completing easy dungeon difficulty makes the next difficulty available, the clan level must be also high enough to unlock the next difficulty level.

Alliances and Enemies

Diplomacy with other Clans
Clans can establish an alliance or declare hostility based on their relationship with other clans.

Alliances
You can establish an alliance with only 2 other clans. Alliances can’t declare wars to each other unless the alliance is dismissed. Clans that are in alliance can still participate in major events like Fortress or Castle Siege against each other. There is no alliance chat for communication and no other alliance interactions known from old Lineage 2. The only reason to establish alliance with other clans is the Fireplace, where other alliance member can visit your Clan Hall and increase experience earned from the Fireplace.

Clan wars
Clan war can only be started between two clans that fulfil requirements. Clans must be at level 5 or higher and in addition they must have at least 15 members to declare or accept war. Clan can declare a war up to 5 times per week, but only one war can be active at the time.
Wars against other clans have three phases:

1. Declaration of War: Declaration phase begins in the moment when the clan declares war to another clan. Declaration period is 24 hour long. During this period the defending clan has time to surrender or prepare for the war, while attacking clan has the option to withdraw their declaration. If no action is taken during 24 hours period, the war automatically begins.
2. Wartime: War against another clan has an indefinite duration. This phase ends only if one of the sides gives up from the battle. During wartime PvP is allowed (except locations where PvP is prohibited, like Equipment Dungeon) and there is no PK restriction for defeating enemy clan members. Defeating enemy clan members will therefore not increase your chaotic value.
3. Grace Period: There is a 48 hour grace period after a war ends. During this period clans cannot declare war to each other.

There is no reward for the winning clan, but there is a penalty for defeated clan. When clan loses clan war (it doesn’t matter if it is attacking or defending), clan reputation of defeated clan will be decreased. This is a way to decrease rank of a rival clan. Officially it’s a risk though because you can end up decreasing your own rank instead.

War notifications
Declaring a war is not only about rival clan rank decreasing. It’s about server prestige too because everyone on the server will be notified of your intend. Each action sends different notifications about victories or failures of your clan. This way you can share glory of your clan among the whole server but you can also bring shame on your clan. Global server notifications depended on your clan war action is listed below:

1. Declare War: Clan A has declared war on Clan B.
2. Withdraw Declaration: Clan B has avoided a fight with Clan A.
3. Surrender before war begins: Clan B surrendered to Clan A.
4. War Starts / Defender Response: The war between Clan A and Clan B has begun.
5. Win War (Attacker): Clan A has defeated B.
6. Win War (Defender): Clan B was victorious over Clan A.
